About HM-PRO
Mikhail Makrushin
Business owner
HM-PRO: Built on Experience, Driven by CraftHM-PRO was founded in 2020 in King County, Washington by General Contractor Mikhail Makrushin with a simple idea at its core: homeowners deserve a contractor who treats their home like a system—one that must be repaired correctly, rebuilt responsibly, and improved with purpose. Since opening, HM-PRO has grown into a team that handles everything from damage repair and restoration to full reconstruction, with a focus on workmanship, accountability, and long-term results.
Mikhail’s path into construction didn’t start as a career move—it started as life. At fourteen years old, he stepped onto job sites and began learning the trade the way it has been learned for generations: by working, observing, making mistakes, correcting them, and returning the next day better than before. That early start shaped more than skill. It shaped discipline, attention to detail, and respect for the process. Construction is not a job you “try.” It is a craft you build into your hands and your thinking, year after year.
Over time, that experience expanded across the full range of residential construction. From foundations to roof ridges, Mikhail developed the ability to see how different systems connect—structure, moisture management, ventilation, insulation, finishes, and the hidden details that determine whether a repair lasts or fails. That breadth matters in real homes, because most problems don’t stay neatly within one trade. Water damage, mold, rot, and failing finishes are rarely isolated issues. They are symptoms of something deeper—an assembly that traps moisture, a venting detail that doesn’t work, a flashing failure, a leak that traveled farther than expected. The value of an experienced general contractor is being able to see the whole picture and make decisions that prevent repeat problems.
That is the kind of work HM-PRO is built for. Our team doesn’t only repair damage—we restore and improve. For some clients, that means bringing a space back to its original condition, clean and safe again. For others, it means using the opportunity to upgrade: better ventilation, stronger materials, improved layouts, modern finishes, or more durable assemblies. And when the situation calls for it, we perform complete reconstruction—bathrooms, kitchens, basements, attics, crawlspaces—delivering finished results with one accountable contractor guiding the entire process.
HM-PRO is also defined by the people behind the work. The company is owner-led, and we carefully select the subcontractors we partner with. We choose specialists who protect their reputation, show up prepared, and understand that quality is not an option—it is the standard. When every part of the project is handled by people who take pride in their craft, the final result feels different. It feels solid. It looks clean. It lasts.
At the center of HM-PRO is a mindset that continues to grow: learning never stops. Mikhail’s story is not “I learned construction once.” It’s “I’m still learning, because this is my life.” That attitude matters in an industry where materials change, codes evolve, and better methods appear every year. Staying sharp—improving systems, refining details, adopting smarter solutions—is how good contractors become great ones, and how great ones stay reliable.
Today, HM-PRO is proud to serve homeowners across King County and the surrounding areas with work that is both practical and personal: rebuilding what was damaged, improving what was weak, and protecting what matters most—your home. For us, construction is not simply the act of building. It is the responsibility of making a space safer, healthier, and stronger than it was before.

A mold problem is rarely "just mold." It's usually the result of a combination of moisture, time, and favorable conditions. Our mold identification service is a targeted, non-invasive assessment designed to identify the source of moisture, the reasons for its persistence, and the conditions that promote mold recurrence—so you can address the cause, not just clean the surface.
